On 13 June, we hosted the first 8x Mobile Hackathon in London.
Around 80 builders joined us. More than 30 teams spent the day building, shipping, pitching, and competing for the top spot.
The energy in the room was incredible. People arrived with rough ideas, moved fast, helped each other, and ended the day with real mobile products worth paying attention to.
The Winners
Huge congratulations to the teams that took the top spots.
First Place: Plato
Plato scrapes Reels, TikToks, reviews, and restaurant sites to find the best restaurant recommendations. Its AI concierge then makes real phone calls to ask the questions the internet cannot answer and keeps replanning until a table is booked.

Thank You
Most importantly, thank you to everyone who showed up, built something, and made the day special.
The best part of a hackathon is never just the final demos. It is the hours before that: the messy whiteboards, the half-working prototypes, the last-minute fixes, the teams finding momentum, and the room slowly turning into a place where people are genuinely trying to ship.
That is what made this one feel different.
Our Judges
A huge thank you to the judges who gave their time, feedback, and attention to the builders:
Jaka Bavdek, Darijan Ducic, Uku Joost Annus, Francisco Terpolilli, Niklas Falk, Guillermo Adell Vega, Sandra Matlievska, Jan Faflík, Adrián Sager, Mark Vasilyev, and Jannick Stein.
And of course, thank you to all our partners and sponsors for helping make this possible.
Already looking forward to the next one.
